


With the recent emergence of the Baja California real estate boom and the subsequent development of much of the Baja’s Gold Coast, most of the beautiful inland areas of the Baja California region have gone largely overlooked despite the alluring charm and unique setting of small country towns like Tecate. Years ago, one of San Diego patriarchs, Don Juan Alessio, created a personal ranch retreat for his family and closest friends in the vineyard rich hills of Tecate to escape the frantic pace of urban living. Working at the request of, and closely with the Alessio family, Grupo Valcas is proud to announce its plans to develop a new master planned community within the former Rancho Tecate property. Rancho Tecate Resort & Country Club will be developed as a golf, spa, and vineyard resort with a variety of residential projects within the development.
This property has more than 1,550 acres of which approximately one third will be protected as conservation areas. The existing vineyards will be modernized and new additional ones will be planted, contemplating mixed-use areas, commercial and residential, with a total projected density of 2,300 residential units.
We invite interested secondary developers and investors to participate in a variety of projects within the development ranging from various residential finished products, to commercial and retail development.
